BAG DUMP: SARA DELGADO (writer, product marketer, “good eater”)
Share
Hi, Morgan here. :) I am so excited to kick off the return of my most favorite, most demanded series “BAG DUMP.” You may not know this but I started blogging back in 2007, before the era of smart phones, social media and influencers. It was a very different world. I loved sharing weird, cool stuff, my favorite things and… asking people what bag they carry and what is inside it. So here we are friends, THE RETURN OF BAG DUMP.
Let me introduce you to…
SARA DELGADO, writer, product marketer and self-proclaimed “good eater.” Her skills include eating, drinking and writing about eating and drinking on her brilliantly fun Substack “Word of Mouth.” She is currently a wandering human but you can usually find her in Brooklyn. Sara and I recently spent some time together in the Italian countryside where I found myself wondering what is in her bag…
THE BAG: Gucci Jackie 1961, my ride or die.
THE CONTENTS:
- Phone, keys, wallet - The usual. My Airbnb keys are funny to me.
- 7 euros I keep around for cash-only tips.
- Westman Atelier foundation stick for mid-day touch ups.
- Merit lipstick and Glossier Gen G as my everyday go-to’s
- Westman Atelier lip gloss for when I’m feeling 🫦🫦🫦
- Homeoplasmine- basically French aquaphor. Been working on this tube since last summer!
- Machete hair clip to tie back my bangs when I inevitably get sweaty.
- Matchboxes! For the occasional cigarette. And because I’m a hoarder. Looks like we have one from Sailor in Brooklyn and another from Bone’s in Atlanta. Two restaurants I adore.
- Pens! From restaurants because again, I’m a hoarder. These 3 are from Ernesto’s in NYC, Zuni Café in San Francisco, and Roman’s in Brooklyn.
- Airpods, a necessary evil.
- Portable charger because is it just me, or does everyone’s phone die a bit faster in Europe?
- Receipts! Timelines! Fucking everything! jk, just receipts from restaurants I really enjoyed and Gucci (gotta get that VAT refund!). I’m the kind of sentimental where I’ll hold onto the receipt to remember a special meal.
- Little business card from Gilda Bistrot, an adorable restaurant in Florence I went to with our friend Sang that stole my heart.
- Ticket stubs from the GNAM (Galleria Nazionale) in Rome and Ferragamo Museum in Florence.
- a packet of Duke’s mayonnaise I’ve had in this bag for so long that it might as well be a good luck charm (until it explodes).
- a mini Farkle to pass the time. It’s a fun little game with tiny dice that my old roommate put me onto and gifted me for Christmas.
